Advent 2010: Isaiah – Longing for the King and His Kingdom

Our 2010 Christmas series of sermons is from the book of Isaiah. The most quoted prophet in the New Testament, Isaiah anticipated the Gospel of Christ. So we ‘re exploring the meaning of Christmas from this singular prophet’s standpoint. It’s a contemporary standpoint – that through all the inevitable failures of human leadership the faithful long after, and yearn for the coming of the One true King. In our case we wait for his second coming. So in the spirit of Isaiah, our series is called: “Longing for the King and His Kingdom,” which is what the Christmas season is really all about!
